Guest guest
It is very easy to remember another’s wrong but very difficult to keep yourself steady in the right. What do we gain by repeatedly speaking evil of another? The satisfaction of being able to successfully conceal our own evil. We often speak of how much heart we have of forgiving another. But then why must we repeatedly speak of it to another? If the heart is clean and the wrong has been forgotten there is nothing more to speak. Forgiveness is not overlooking another’s mistake but it observation of one’s own fault in finding fault with another. Are we born to fight? Or are we here to experience peace? Forgiveness is finding the will to be peaceful over the wish to fight. Whatever happens we have to forgive. We may not be bosom buddies with each other but at least we do not need to be bitter in enmity! If you do not learn to forgive you will have to bear friendship with anger, hatred, envy and jealousy. God forgives everything. We love Him so much for it. Yet when it comes to us we practice so little of it ourselves. There are some who do wrong to you and are not ready to apologize to you. Even that is okay. If you wait for the apology you are still stuck in the mess. Why not forgive even before he realizes? You need to move on! You can surely avoid all pain…all mental anguish…al frustration…just by doing and without asking for it in return. You have to gather all your courage. Be brave! You have to take yourself out from the midst of many wars. The best way to do that is by understanding the so-called enemy as yourself.Part of the book: 'Inspiring Thoughts'By Seema M.
