Guest guest
For many devoted people, philosophy is anathma. Especially women do not like reading philosophy books. There is a main reason. It is the womenfolk who manage the family in majority of homes. Their main sadhana is to take care of their children and husband and manage the household efficiently. Hence, whenever the husband brooch the topic of philosophy, they move away or quarrel with their husband for his irresponsible speech. Women fear that philosophy will damage the family life etc. Because they do not understand the subject and they form their opinion superficially, they hate philosophy. Whether men or women, philosophy will help them to lead their life without anxieties. If we are aware, that all the worldly life is more or like 'passing show', we will not involve much baring doing our duties without anticipating tangible results. We can definitely avoid worrying to a great extent, if we understand that we are all puppets tied with strings and act as per God's plan, we can remain unconcerned about the happening around, blissfully ignorant. The thought process torments us much. If we learn to remain aloof from the thoughts and 'watch them as a witness without involving in those thoughts', it will lead us to 'meditation'. Hence the best way is to adopt practical philosophy in our day to day life. We need not flee to forest leaving our duties in the home. Be doing those duties without craving for any results. Duty for duties sake. This is the lesson imparted in the "Gita". Sairam.
