Guest guest
When the mind torments you, the best way is to utter the name of god. We are sometimes put into piquant situations. We are unable to get rid from such situations. Our position resembles `rice grains'. To make them soft, we pressure cook them with water heated to steam stage within a cooker. In ten minutes the rice gets cooked. Our parents or grandparents know only cooking in the normal way in the hearth. It may take 30 to 40 minutes in cooking in open vessels. In spiritual parlor our emotions, desires and ambitions subject us to so many miseries. These miseries in turn acts like a pressure vessel in which our selfishness or ego gets the brunt of the boiling. Naturally there will be suffering that ensues. But ultimately, the `jeevi' or the individual self is chastened to become blemish less in the long run. This is the reason why we are time and again undergo the cycle of birth and death for ultimate emancipation. Sairam.
