Guest guest
The Ballad of a Recluse I came to Baba as a calf. That runs to its Mother-cow, I had all that Life could bestow. Still I came to Baba on His call. I had plenty but had no peace, He spoke to me in my dreams, Muffling my tortuous silent screams. And I came to Baba well at ease. What should I look for in my Life? Why should I live in torment and strife? Very big questions, I had no answer, until I came to Baba for ever. At an age, ripe enough, to bid adieu, I found in my Master a God-Mother, anew, In His Abode I found my Hermitage, To serve Him and all, free of Bondage. Bouquets or Brickbats matter to me the same, I have no further personal quest to find, I have found in my Master, my life's brink, I fear none, I am liberated in my mind. Baba begged in the streets of Shirdhi, Not for Him but for others. At my seat in His Abode I do beg, For His mercy alone and why not? I came to Baba, I said on His call. Now I wait for Him, for His final call, I am not what I am now or before. But I will be His Altar-Flower, above all.
