Guest guest
Desires leads to delusions. We want to possess something and we succeed in acquiring the same. Are we happy afterwards? No. I frantically was trying to purchase a flat for five years. Atlast i purchased one. But it led me to more headaches. Hence i understood that things as it is can never give joy to any. It is a temporary disillusionment that gives a temporary joy. Afterwards the mind hankers for some thing more. It never stops desiring. Hence whenever you satisfy your desire, the mind seeks more and more. ghee poured in the fire makes the fire to rise its tongues with more fury. Only way out is, stop feeding the fire. It extinguishes on its own. Likewise do not feed the mind whenever it clamours for some thing. Divert the attention to the ephemeral nature of the worldly joys. If we discriminate between the "Sath and Asath", we will stop pursuing the 'asath' or temporary. Sairam.
