From Puttaparthi... Swami Abhedananda with Baba

The experience of Swami Abhedananda, a close devotee of Sri Ramana Maharshi, who achieved a high level of spiritual development through sadhana and longed to see the divine in human form, is very revealing.

He had a vision of both, Ramana Maharshi and Sai Baba, on the 27th Dec. 1961 at 4 a.m.; while fully awake at the Ramana ashram. Baba spoke to him in clear Telugu, and directed him towards a new process of meditation!!!

He then came to Prasanthi Nilayam and was immediately blessed with an interview. The figure of Sai Baba underwent a metamorphosis and it seemed to Swami Abhedananda that Sri Krishna was standing before him in his tangible concrete presence. "His transformation at the time of my leave - taking into Muralidhara Krishna (Krishna with the flute) in dazzling splendor, is a sight I shall never forget." he had said.

Even John Hislop in his wonderful book, 'My Baba and I', has related his experience of a drive with Baba in the car.... when he was amazed and wonder struck to see the attractive shades of deep blue on the face of Baba. He could not help asking Baba what that color actually meant.

Baba was quick to respond: 'It was the color and complexion of Krishna.'!!!

PS: On November 24th 1926, the disciples of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram were called & asked to assemble in the meditation place. Everyone was in meditation for about 45 minutes. At the end of this Sri Aurobindo blessed every one of the devotees and made an open declaration that a higher -Super power has descended down to the earth. He said he had been working intensively for the past few years for this descent of Supreme Lord in human form.

· Swami, was born the previous day i.e. 23 November 1926, and is today worshipped as 'GOD IN HUMAN FORM' all over the world.
