Guest guest
Devotee's Experience: Swami stresses that during Bhajans we should concentrate on the God/ Goddess for whom the Bhajan is being sung. The following is a narration of an experience showing how true Baba's words are and that we should follow them in letter and spirit without giving room to doubt ! The Experience: The devotee X worshipped Shirdi Baba as her Guru. She was attending a bhajan in her area when she decided to sing a Ganesh Bhajan. The follow-up by the other devotees was a little out of tune , and she could not help but smile. This happenend a couple of times and each time she smiled at the not so good, follow-up singing! UNknown to her , Ganeshji disapproved of her behaviour! The same night she had a dream that along with Shirdi Baba she was taken to a temple. She was feeling like a small child who had been reprimanded and told to behave herself! Once in the temple she saw , that there was a huge bronze coloured Idol of Ganeshji which was cordoned off by silver coloured lotus shaped stands. Left to herself for sometime,X decided to explore a little and ventured near the bronze statue of Ganeshji. And to her surprise realised that Ganeshji was really Sitting there Himself - alive and looking staright in the front without blinking! She marvelled, in her dream, that Ganeshji in reality looked just the way He does so in pictures! Then she came back and sat alongside Shirdi Baba. She was then told to sing the same Ganesh Bhajan that she had sung the earlier evening! X sang the full Bhajan again to Ganeshji.. Then the dream ended. The nextday when X got up, she realised the full import of the dream! And that when we sing bhajans for a particular deity, the deity is really listening! and when God is a angry with you , it is the Guru who rescues you! The experience did not end here. After a few months X opted to go for the first time for Seva to Parthi in June. She was assigned the Super Speciality Hospital for duty. The next day in the morning all the Seva Dal were asked to assemble in the central Ganesh temple there for the allotment of duties. X also went there. On entering the Hall she was stunned to see the same Ganesh ji's bronze coloured idol , cordoned off by the same silver lotus coloured stands! Sai Ram.
