In our life we have to move with tough individuals some times. Naturally we do not relish the company of such people. In domestic work, we need to sharpen the blunt knifes so that it can cut the vegetables quickly. What we do is to get those blunt knives sharpened in corborundum stones which are circular and they are made to rotate with a attached pedal like mechanisam. The rolling grinding stone sharpens those knives which are brought near the edges. In such fashion, we all are treated. Our intellect has become blunt. We need to sharpen such intellects. Hence we are put in trying circumstances from where there is no escape. We are bound to remain in such situation for a prolonged period. Without our volition or knowledge, our intellect gets sharpened by such trying situations. Every bad encounter opens the eye of wisdom. No doubt that the experience pains us. The sufferings and pain we undergo inwardly is an instrument akin to the corborandum stone. Sometimes Swami used to say, that we must be rid of our angularities. All the sharp edges in our personality must be grinded away. This is really possible only during turmoils. When we enjoy a comfortable time, we either stagnate or recede. But adverse times acts as a catalyst in our inner realm. Sairam.
