Guest guest
Many wonder, what is the use of the trivial pleasures that we enjoy. Yes. There is a grand purpose in God's plan. It is to educate us through our own experiences, that these pleasures are trivial and ephemeral. All worldly gains are "maya filled'. There is no satiation point in this mundane quest. The more ghee you pour in the homagunda(the ritual fire place) the tongues of the fire rises to more height. The best way is to stop feeding the fire. Likewise we should stop feeding our desires. Desires are endless. Hence Swami has devised the "ceiling on desires programme". We mortals can not quell desires completely. As long as we live in this world, we can not divorce from needs. Even the pleasures we enjoy in this world is like a minute reflection of the eternal Ananda. As the day long toil of the man is consummated in a refreshing night sleep, the small pleasures are resting points in the journey of life. In course of time, each individual soul traverses in its own path and ultimately it will reach its destination. Sairam.
