Guest guest
Desires leads to perils. Mother Sita desired for the golden deer. She had to face many tortures due to that desire and separation from her Lord himself. What to talk about us, mere mortals. Day in and day out we nourish many desires. If a single desire of Sita could land her in so much problems, could we imagine the calamities and catastrophes we are to face for having a cascade of desires. Hence Swami advocated "Ceiling on Desires".We falsely assume that the fulfillment of one desire will make us happy. NO. Never, it will lead to many desires. We pray to Swami to fetch us a job. That is the begining. Do you get 'janma sapalya' by getting a job. No. Many desires 'Q" up behind the single desire. Next is 'marriage, children, promotion, position, house, education for children etc etc., We can imagine how much we longed from Swami. Has not Swami granted most of your genuine desires. Then why are you unhappy. We never find genuine happiness from all these mundane things. They do not last. Hence ask or pray Swami only one thing. "Swami we want only YOU and nothing else". This is the highest prayer. Sairam.
