Guest guest
Consequent to technological advances in communication, the world has shrunk to a village. Anything happening around the globe is transmitted in pictures instantaneously and people are able to see real time pictures and live telecast. Well, the scientific community may feel proud of their achievement. Whether this invention has contributed to "world peace" or eliminated war or helped the nations which are worst affected due to natural calamities. NO. It is the apathy of the government towards the sufferings of the poor and destitutes. Even affluent people are grounded during earthquake, tornodos and flooding. Huge mansions rip apart and fall like playing cards. Everybody, whether they were rich or poor, educated or peasant, all were living in make shift tents etc. The leaders put forth many excuses for the plight of the people. Has the remote sensing instruments failed? No. The response of the government reaches very late. See the Katrina floods. The richest country could not give succor to its people in spite of technology. What was lacking. It was love. The leaders and those who are incharge of beareucracy have exhibited no response. They are concerned more with their safety. They are worried about their position. It happens everywhere in almost all countries. No sacrificing tendency. This is really pity. Hence, Sai Samithees, the world over attends to service activities, silently away from media glare. No leader can save the globe. Only Swami can save it from the selfish politicians. Sairam.
