It was infatuation that brought the downfall of Dasaratha. Moreover he had earned the curse of the parent of Sravana Kumar. King Dasaratha, once went on a hunting spree. He had the capacity to aim arrows from distant sounds. It spelled disaster to Him. When he heard the sound of water drawn from a lake, he mistook it to be an elephant or some wild animal. He aimed his arrow in the direction. It struck the poor Sravana Kumar, who came to fetch water for his blind parents. King Dasaratha finding himself in a miserable situation, listened to the last words of Sravana kumara, who bade the king to take water to his blind parents in a distance. King Dasaratha was full of remorse. He could not but reveal the truth to the parents that their son was slain by the arrow shot by him. The parents pronounced the curse. As we are lamenting at the departure of our son and leaving, You too will die due to the separation from your son". Hence the words uttered by the parents came true. Uttering the name Rama Rama, the King left his mortal coil. But all these are Divine design. We can not ascribe any reason for Divine Drama. He willed and events took place. The ultimate aim was to slay Ravana and his demonic associates. Sairam.
