Guest guest
The Divine is both compassionate as well as rigid. When conferring boons, Rama was the embodiment of Karuna or grace. But when situation arises, he maintained the rigid posture. When the time for Avatara to return to Vaikunta arrived, Rama told Lakshma to keep watch and allow none to seek his audience as He is engaged in an important mission. Sage Durvasa happened to visit the palace. Lakshmana politely disuaded Durvasa not to seek audience from Rama as he was specifically asked not to allow any body. Sage Durvasa has become furious. He thundered that he will curse Lakshmana. Unable to decide, Lakshmana allowed the sage inside. After some time Rama forebade Lakshmana to vanish from his sight since he has disobeyed his instructions. Lakshmana went to river Sarayu and ended his mission. Rama too followed him and touched the river and vanished. All the brothers left their mission in the holy river Sarayu and ascended Vaikunta. Sairam.
