However, installation (pratista) of Saibaba idol will take place on March 5. The idol costs Rs.9 lakhs.Giving details of the features of the temple, Sairam, head of the institution, and Poturaju Ramakrishna Rao, Gosamrakshana Samithi said that the tower of the temple and idol of the Baba would be covered with gold plates. Because of this feature, the temple was named as Sri Shirdi Sai Swarna Mandiram. They also said that rituals at the temple would be on par with that of the temple at Shirdi.Mr. Sairam said that the down floor was exclusively for dining hall where 500 devotees can take meal at a time. He said that Rs.1.50 crore was spent on construction of the temple.
