Dear Shailaja

Jai Sai Ram

Yes you are right, Baba has never said anything

about HIS birth date in HIS life time, nor there is

anything about it in the Sai Satcharitra. As we, and

all the devotees treat Baba as an avtar of Sri Ram

Chandra ji, so Ram Naumi, the birthdate of Sri Ram

Chandra Ji has been taken as the birthdate of Baba

also. This Ram Naumi is being celebrated as Baba’s

birthday in Shirdi and all the other important temples

of Baba, along with the birthday of Sri Ram.

Om Sai Ram Veena!

I was reading the book last night called "Satya Sai Sri Saichatrithra, Sacred Life of Sri Sai Baba", by Jandhyala Venkateswara Sastry . I used to also wonder all the time about the birth date of Shirdi Sai Baba and this caught my attention. It states in the book that the birth date of Shirdi Sai Baba is 28 September 1838 as per Sai Baba. Hope this helps.

Jai Sai Ram.
