Sai Ram to all the members of SAI. This is just to express my happiness that the Sai Youth, Patiala has come out and done something very noble in regrouping themselves in Bhagwan's mission. On the out set, let me tell that I do have lot of respect for the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization. But let us not be narrow minded thinkers that this alone is the way to Swami and any other way is false ! Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization is just one of the media to serve, but if one can get a better option and organization, with all happiness one must proceed. After all the motive is to please Swami and not organization, right? This is actually a call and example to all the youths across the world that lets re-organize ourselves, our efforts, our strategies, our gameplan for a better and efficient seva experience. My hearty wishes to all its members and Jitu Bhaiyaa, I think I know you for I have seen you in Parthy, coming to school and talking with boys. You will do a great job and my prayers to Swami that let the noble initiative brightly shine in splendour in this year of Youth ! My standing ovation to all of you ! but also to inspire others for service. By way of selfless service,

an ordinary human (Manishi) get transformed into Maharishi (a sage).

Truly speaking, the merit that can be obtained from selfless service

sadhanas. Service brings human beings closer to each other and

promotes affection and friendship. Without this friendship and

feeling of Love for one's fellow men, one can not attain intimacy to

Lord. Selfless service is the purpose for which man has been given

nerves and blood stream and irrigate every cell of his body. The

basis of selfless service is selfless Love. So, let us join hands

together to cultivate these qualities and be eligible to be called a

true devotee of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Fill every act of

> yours with Love. Let no one suffer the slightest pain as a result

of your thought, word and deed. It will surely help you to achieve

the Goal of self realization.

> PUT APART I (As Baba explains meaning of Puttaparthy) : To join

SAI, only one thing has to be parted with, and that is I, the ego.

Ego is the major hurdle in a Sadhak's progress. To render selfless

service and cultivate selfless Love, we have to PUT APART I.

> Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is the Leader and Guide of SAI,

there would be no President or any post of authority. Becoming

members of SAI is not gaining authority over someone, but it is to

realize your own responsibilities. All members would be

called " saisewak " and each member would play active and equal role

in service, no less and no more.

> Kindly read objectives of SAI thoroughly before joining. SAI is

purely based on teachings and principles laid down by Bhagwan Sri

> Objectives of the Organisation

> The principal objectives of Service and Inspiration( SAI) are:

> 1. To help the individual -

> a. To be aware of the Divinity that is inherent in him and

to conduct himself accordingly;

> b. To translate into practice in daily life, divine love

and perfection; and therefore

> c. To fill one's life with joy, harmony, beauty, grace,

human excellence and lasting happiness;

> 2. To ensure that all human relations are governed by the

principles of Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Right Conduct), Shanthi

(Peace), Prema (Love) and Ahimsa (Non-violence) .

> 3. To make devotees more sincere and dedicated in the

practice of their respective religions by understanding properly the

true spirit of their religion.

> How are the Objectives attained?

> The above-mentioned objectives are attained in the following

manner:

> 1. By observing the four principles laid down by Bhagawan

Baba, namely:

> a. There is only One religion, the religion of Love

> b. There is only One caste, the caste of humanity

> c. There is only One language, the language of the Heart

> d. There is only One God, He is omnipresent.

> 2. By constant remembrance of God and looking upon all

creation as a manifestation of Divinity in different forms and

shapes;

> 3. By underlining the essential unity of all religions and

securing proper understanding of all religions as being based on

Love;

> 4. By looking upon all work as service dedicated to the

Divine;

> 5. By bringing to bear upon all life's problems, attitudes

flowing from Divine Love, such as, understanding, compassion,

tolerance, helpfulness, etc.

> 7. By engaging in spiritual, educational and service

activities, both at the individual and community level, in an

organized, systematic manner, without expecting any material reward

or appreciation, but solely as a means to win God's Love and Grace.

> Activities of the Organisation

> The Organization wishes to undertake spiritual, educational and

service activities under the inspiration and guidance of Bhagawan

Sri Sathya Sai Baba through the Service and Inspiration (SAI).

> Spiritual activities include devotional singing (Bhajans),

seminars, meditation etc.

> Educational activities cover `Bal Vikas' (for children) and

Education in Human Values Programmes

> Service activities include items such as organizing medical

check-up camps, adoption of under-developed villages for

accelerating rural development, blood donation, old age homes,

shelter and medical care for animals etc.
