Guest guest
Second Holy Saying " The distressed and destitute will be safe and happy, if they enter Dwaraka Mai " The mosque where Baba lived is called Dwaraka Mai by Baba at Shirdi. Baba explains what Dwaraka Mai is. Once Balasaheb Mirikar was on a country tour. On the way he came to Shirdi to meet Baba. He saw Sai Baba in the mosque and offered his Pranams. Baba enquired his welfare and cautioned him to be careful while travelling. During the conversation, Baba asked him, " Do you know Dwaraka Mai.? " Balasaheb could not understand His question and drew a blank face. Baba himself then explained, " The place where you are sitting now is Drawaka Mai " . She will remove all the pains and sorrows of those who come to her and sit on her lap. This mosque is a mother. She is kindhearted and full of compassion. She is the mother of all unassuming devotees of simple living. She removes all their sufferings. If anybody sits on her lap, all sufferings will disappear. Whoever takes shelter at her feet will enjoy all peace and bliss. Baba gave Balasaheb the Udi Prasad and blessed him by placing His palm on his head. When Balasaheb was about to leave; Baba asked him, " Do you know the long Baba? That means the long snake " . Through gestures Baba showed the form of a snake in his hands and he also said that long Baba is hiding frightfully. But it will not harm the children of Dwaraka Mai. No danger will befall those who are under the protection of Dwaraka Mai " . We must draw the following meaning from what Baba had said ; 1) Dwaraka Mai is nothing but the mosque where Baba lived. 2) Dwaraka Mai is everybody's mother 3) The devotees of Sai Baba are her children 4) The humble devotees of Sai Baba are protected by her. 5) At least once, everybody should sit on the lap of Dwaraka Mai. 6) She saves the devotees from the dangers of life. 7) Whoever takes shelter at her feet will be blessed with bliss. The dilapidated mosque, because of Sai Baba's stay, became Dwaraka Mai. In a corner of the mosque, Baba used to sit on an empty gunny bag. In front of him in another corner, there used to be fire always. On the left of it, he used to sit and meditate. (to be contd….)
