SAIBANISA JI

Shirdi Sai's

Philosophy in the words of Saibanisaji

REALITY OF HUMAN LIFE

It is natural in this

of suffering for people to think and act selfishly and egoistically and,

because of it it’s equally natural for suffering and unhappiness to follow.

People favour

themselves and neglect others. People let their own desires run into greed and

lust and all manner of evil. Because of these they suffer endlessly.

Times of luxury do

not last long, but pass away very quickly; nothing in this world can be enjoyed

forever.

Ashwin/Vadya 13,

1910: SaiBaba pushed His arm in to the brightly burning Dhuni to save a

blacksmith's child. Bhagoji Shinde's service of massaging the arm with ghee and

bandaging it continued till Baba's Maha Samadhi.

3. SAI IN DREAMS

http://www.ettitudemedia.com

These are the dream

sequences and messages as received by SaiBaNiSaji From our beloved GURU LORD

SAINATH OF SHIRDI. In Anticipation that this feature will help in one's

spiritual growth are hereby compiled from his personal Diary and presented to

SAIBANDHUS.

Translated and

presented by RAGHU RAMAN SATULURY.

APRIL-1996

14-04-1996

Yesterday night Sai appeared as

an old friend of mine. He advocated:

1.There is no use in wearing white clothes until and unless your heart

is free from malice and possess a spotless character.

2. I shall in some form or other keep forewarning you of the impeding

dangers.

3. Do not forget uttering my name even though pre-occupied.

4. All roads in life may be closed, but the road to me is always kept

open.

5. Try absorbing the Sai leelamrit.

6. Talk to me direct, there is no need of intermediaries.

7. Let people worship me in a way they deemed it fit. Why bother?

8. Keep aloof from those talking loose of other women.

9. Do not look for anybody’s help in spiritualism. I am always there to

extend a helping hand.

Spiritualism has to

be a self-effort.

15-04-1996

Sai appeared in the form of my friend and said-

1. You lecture more and write less.

2. You will propagate that military discipline is a must.

3. In future, boys will opt to marry women elder to them.

4. Some people enjoy watching those affected by floods.

5. It is but natural for a couple to differ in money matters. It is also

equally natural to put up a show of happiness in public.

6. Do not look back and proceed in the spiritual direction chosen.

Everything

appearing in this world is not real.

4. QUINTESSENCE OF SRI

SAIBABA'S PHILOSOPHY:

(By Late Sri Bharam

UmamaheswaraRao)

'Shashi': shashi_31

32. Significance of Meditation

Preliminaries to Meditation

In the beginning the

vision will appear, disappear and then again reappear. By constant practice,

the vision becomes permanent. Then you would have reached perfection! The deity

will confer on you all that you desire and never leave you. Thereby, you become

endowed with supernatural powers and acquire control over the Law of Nature.. To

attain the above, one must have enough patience, regular practice for years or

perhaps a whole life time. Everything depends on faith and Sadhana. The Sadhana

is the greatest and most glorious, mystic experience that can be attained in

your life. Your life would be aimless without the pursuit of Sadhana.

These golden words were preached by Sri

Sankaracharya.

Our sorrows are our

teachers. We must wipe of our ignorance and passions. Ignorance is destroyed by

wisdom. The desires and thoughts are to be understood. When we observe highly

bright colors during our meditation we see a form in that color. The brightness

of the color equals to that of the Sun. the color depends on our thoughts. Each

of Kama,

krodha etc. have a different color. By identifying the color in the meditation,

we can know what Guna is predominant in our mind. After sometime, these colors

in mediation embrace each other into one and we can see the form clearly. We

must practice to identify this.

5. IN THE DAYS OF SHRI SHIRDI SAIBABA

Baba Handed over A Golden Ring to a

Devotee which he lost in River

Once a grandson of Baba’s devotees Shir Hari

Bhau Keshav Karnik by name Keshav was returning from a festival of the Godess

Mahalaxmi. He had to stay in the river side of a village which is about 10

miles from his place. He went to the river for bathing and swam in the river.

During swimming he lost his 1 ½ tolas gold ring in the river. He went home with

a sad heart. After six months, a Takore came to his house and told them whether

any child has lost his ring in the river and he handed over the ring to them

after ascertaining its ownership.

Is it not the leela

of BABA?

Baba saved Captain Jahangir Framji and his

three ships from Drowning in the sea

Shri Jahangir Framji

Daruwala served as a Captain. During the Russo-Japanese war, when his steamers

except three sunk by the enemy and that the rest of the steamers including his

own would soon meet the same fate. He took out Baba’s photo from his pocket and

with tears in his eyes prayed to Baba to save him and his three ships. Baba at

once appeared on the scene and towed all the sinking steamers up to the bank.

Just at the time Daruwala offered up his prayers, Baba balled out and then

seated as He was in His usual place in the Dwarakamayi. He had His Kafni and

head cloth completely drenched dripping with water more than half an hour, with

the result the Dwarakamyi transformed into a pool of water. The devotees of

Dwarakamayi simply removed water from the Dwarakamayi and dried Baba’s clothes.

On the third day after this incident, Baba received a telegram from Jahangir

narrating how Baba had saved him and offering Him a thousand thanks for His

marvelous Leela and rescued of him self and the three steamers with passengers.

Immediately on his return to India, he came and paid his respects to Baba. He had

retired now and from his service. But in appreciation of his services, the

Government had provided him with job. He has taken keen interest in Baba’s

affairs. Lately he donated about two thousand and two thousand rupees in two instalments

and got the Mantap of Dwarakamayi repaired to his satisfaction.

6. DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES:

From Saidarbar files:

Om Sri Sai Ram

We would like to

share a small experience of ours. My husband and I live in Dubai. Though a free place

to live and close to India, sometimes it is amazing to note as to how we have swamis darshan .we

regularly go to the temple here.

Incidentally Dubai is

the only place in the gulf besides Muscat to have a temple. when we visit the

temple on Thursdays it has been our experience to have swamis Darshan in the

form of somebody's ring or locket or some sticker in some car---irrespective of

the time, 16 00 hrs to 22 30 hrs we have always had his grace all these seven

years, every Thursday, without exception .This attains greater significance in

a gulf country like UAE but ourselves having the same even in Saudi Arabia,

when we went for a bhajan every week to some devotees house. All his Darshan to

both of us have been during our travel to the place of worship or while

returning home.

We seek his continued

grace and blessings and protection throughout our life.

7. SAI WITH CHILDREN:

Smt. Madhu Gopal

Ravada, Saidarbar, Hyderabad.

Hello Children! I am

Madhu aunty. Do you know Baba use to play with children and used to tell

stories to them? I felt children visiting Saidarbar should be entertained with

good stories. Now I want to tell the stories what heard in my child hood.

TRUE SUPERIORITY

Once there was a king named Mallik. He was a

very brave, kind and powerful king. He was loved by his subjects and also by

his courtiers. One day a thought came to the mind of the King, “Am I really so

great that there is no defect in me? How should I find it out?†“Do my people

praise me because they could not criticize me on my face? The truth can be

known when one hears the true opinion of the people. This can happen only if I

am not recognized. People will not afraid to give their true opinion.†The King

called his charioteer. He told him that he wanted to go on a tour; he would

take only the charioteer with him.

The king, with his

charioteer, travelled far and wide in his kingdom. Wherever he went, he asked

the people what they felt about their King Mallik? Everywhere people, without

knowing that they were talking to the king himself, praised King Mallik as

great and noble king. One day while he was travelling, his chariot came to a

narrow bridge. Only one chariot could move over it at one time. Now, the usual

practice of those days was that a lower ranking gave the way to a higher

ranking man. Just when King Mallik’s chariot reached one end of the bridge,

another chariot came to the other end of the bridge which had to come this

side. Who was to cross first? The charioteer from this side said, “My friend,

let me cross first. The great King Mallik is in my chariot.†The other

charioteer replied, “If your master is a great king, then my master, the great

King Brahmadatta of Kashi is greater. It is you who will have to make way for

him.â€

What was to be done?

Then one of the kings suggested that since both of them were kings, their

superiority could be decided on the basis of age and the size of their

kingdoms. Most surprisingly, it turned out that both the kings were equal in

age and the size of their kingdoms. How to decide who was superior? Both the

kings started thinking. After much thought King Brahmadatta said, “The

greatness of a person is determined by his qualities. You tell me about your

qualities to prove your greatness.†King Mallik proudly spoke, “I reciprocate

goodness with goodness and wrong with wrong.†King Brahmadatta said, “If these

are your qualities, you cannot have bigger defect in the world than this.†King

Mallik was shocked, He said, “Maharaj Brahmadatta, what do you say? Well, then,

come out with your qualities. King Brahmadatta said, “Listen, O King Mallik, I

repay wrong with goodness. Those who harm me, I help even those persons.â€

When King Mallik

heard these words, he bowed his head before Brahmadatta. He acknowledged with

his whole heart that King Brahmadatta was indeed greater than he was. He still

had many weaknesses which needed to be removed. Thus realization ultimately

came to King Mallik that there were greater persons then him. All his pride

vanished.

8. SPIRITUAL GEMS FROM SAI SATCHARITRA

Spiritual Gems from Shri Sai Satcharitra

- Chapter 30

In this Chapter the story of two more devotees

that were drawn to Shirdi, is narrated.

Khushalchand of Rahata

It is said that a dream, which we get in the

small hours of the morning, generally comes out true in the walking state. This

may be so, but regarding Baba's dreams there is no restriction of time. To

quote an instance: - Baba told Kakasaheb Dixit one afternoon to go to Rahata

and fetch Khushalchand to Shirdi, as He had not seen him since long. Kakasaheb

accordingly took a tanga and went to Rahata. He saw Khushalchand and gave him

Baba's message. Hearing it, Khushalchand was surprised and said that he was

taking a noon nap after meals when Baba appeared in his dream and asked him to

come to Shirdi immediately and that he was anxious to go. As he had no horse of

his own nearby, he had sent his son to inform Baba; when his son was just out

of the village-border, Dixit's tanga turned up. Dixit then said that he was

sent specially to bring him. Then they both went in the tanga back to Shirdi.

Khushalchand saw Baba and all were pleased. Seeing this Leela of Baba,

Khushalchand was much moved.

SSG: Sai Ram. As

already mentioned, there is no coincidence in the universe. It is our inability

to see the Truth in all its glory (because of our ego, which limits our

perceptions), that we keep wondering at the 'miracles' that happen. Sai showed

such Leelas to fortify the faith of His disciples and thus help them in their

path. Sai Ram.

Punjabi Ramalal of Bombay

Once a Punjabi Brahmin of Bombay named Ramalal

got a dream in which Baba appeared and asked him to come to Shirdi. Baba

appeared to him as a Mahant (Saint), but he did not know His whereabouts. He

thought that he should go and see Him, but as he knew not His address, he did

not know what to do. But He, Who calls anybody for an interview makes the

necessary arrangements for the same. The same happened in this case. The same

afternoon when he was strolling in the streets, he saw a picture of Baba in a

shop. The features of the Mahant, he saw in the dream, exactly tallied with

those of the picture. Then making enquiries, he came to know that the picture

was of Sai Baba of Shirdi. He then went soon after to Shirdi and stayed there

till his death.

In this way Baba

brought His devotees to Shirdi for darshan and satisfied their wants, material

as well as spiritual.

SSG: Sai Ram. Baba

used visions and dream visions to call some devotees to Him. Others, He called

through His other devotees. Thus He used many methods to draw devotees bound to

Him through their karma, so that He can continue the process of refining them

spiritually and make them realise their true nature. Sai Ram.

Bow to Shri Sai -

Peace be to all

NONE DIES

Baba: Why do you

grieve; men are born to die. One day each one of us will die.

Baba: (to Appa

Kulkarni’s wife)

Death and life are

manifestations of God’s activity. You cannot separate the two. God permeates

all. However, (in fact) none is born.

None dies. See with

your inner eve. Then you realize that you are God, and not different from Him.

Like worn-out garment, the body is cast away by God. Appa wants to change his

dress (kufni) before I do. Let Appa go. Do not stop him. Do not ask for

Udhi.

Gain and loss, birth

and death are in the hands of God. But how blindly do these people forget God!

Look after life just so long as it lasts. When death arrives, do not be

grieved.

The wise ones do not

grieve for death; the fools do. Behold! The five pranas were lent for use till

now. Now the lender claims back his won; and they are returned. Air goes back

to air, fire to fire. Every one of the five elements thus goes back to its

place.

The body is (made up of)

earth. See, really they are the same.

Therefore its return

to the earth is not a thing to bemoan.
