Guest guest
(From the poems of the 15th Century Perfect Master and saint-poet "Kabir" – translated in English by 'Sam Kerawala' in the book, "Words of Kabir and other stories") SALUTATIONS 1. Guru Govind dono khaday, kisko lagu paay. pratham vundana guru ko, jinay Govind deeya bataay. Humbly do I stand before my Beloved (God) and my Master (spiritual Guide or Mentor); whom shall I bow down to first? of course, at the feet of my Master, by whose grace I have had the sight of my Beloved. 2. Dveteeya vandana Guru ko, karata gyaan prakash. bin Guru naahee hota, nuy andhakaar ko naash. Yet once again my Salutations to my Master who granted me the light of True Knowledge; without His Grace never could the darkness of ignorance been dispelled. 3. Treteeya vandana sab sant ko, bhuvuhjuluh taruna haar. bhakti gyaan bairaga day, karat bado opkaar. My third Salutation be at the feet of advanced Wayfarers and the God intoxicated who helped me cross this ocean of illusion; through whose Grace I learnt Bhakti (devotion), knowledge and detachment; eternally I am grateful to Them. -- " Let Noble thoughts come to us from every side " .- RigVeda (1-89-i)
