82nd BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS REPORT

 

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi ,ALLAHABAD (U.P.) Celebrated the 82nd

AVATARAN diwas of our beloved Lord Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba with

great zeal, enthusiasm and vigour. This year the birthday

celebrations begin by 90 minutes bhajan in Sai Kripa Mandir , Ashok

Nagar on 1-11-2007 . This was then followed by distribution of

sweets and idols of lord Ganesh and Lakshami on the day prior to the

day of Deepavali i.e on 8-11-2007 to the inmates of Village CHAPRO(

a village adopted by the samithi under the SSSVIP Scheme). A special

GRAMA SEVA was done by samithi members as the part of 82nd birthday

Celebrations in the same village on 18-11-2007 and all the

villagers were invited for birthday on 23-11-2007. 19-11-2007,

being the LADIES DAY, was celebrated by the Ladies wing by

distribution of food materials to the lepers in the Sangam areas.

Alongwith the ANNN dan , deep daan was also performed along the

Riverside. Our YOUTH WING, of Samithi decided to celebrate 20-11-

2007 as BLOOD DONATION DAY. As a part of the youths in Large

number Came forward to donate their blood realizing the fact this

would save the precious life of others . This programme was

performed in the BLOOD BANK of the City in the presence of expert

Doctors and nurses of the city. A " SARVA DHARMA SADBHAVANA RALLY "

was taken out the through the main streets of the city covering

about an distance of 7-8 Kms. This rally was taken by the Bal –

Vikas Childrens of different Schools along with N.S.S students and

the devotees of Swami. This was main Highlight of the Birthday

Celebrations as the Swami's Message was given to the general

public . Alongwith the Playcards and saying the quotations of Baba ,

the entire atmosphere was vibrated with the slogans and sacred

chantings. The rally was inaugurated by the I.G. of North Central

Railways . Many dignatries of the city also participated in this

rally.

 

 

23-11-2007:-

 

The programmes on 23-11-2007

begin with the chanting of 21 times Omkaram and Suprabhtam in the

Sai Kripa Mandir at 5.20 A.M. . Then Nagarsankirtan covering about

thousands of the devotees was taken out separately for Gents and

ladies. At 6.30 A.M. , Devotionals Songs were sung by the Devotees

in the Praise of Swami wishing him a warm Birthday. Then a huge cake

was cut by the group of small childrens. The programme ended with

Aarthi offered to swami. At 9.30 Lakshaarchana started in which the

name of swami was chanted 1 Lakhs times . This was followed by 45

mins. Bhajan and concluded with Aarthi. At1.30 Narayan Seva begin

in the Beautifully decorated Pandal in the Durga Pooja Park . In

this, firstly food were offered to the lepers, inmates of Chapro

villages , Orphanages . they were also given new clothes and

Blankets.They were also offered with the Plates and Glasses . They

were treated just as God. This seva Continued till 4 P.M..There was

also a programme of BHAJAN SANDHYA . The programme was of the Vocal

Musical Concert of Sai Bhajans by the Renowed Bhajan Singer of

Mumbai and who is also an Ardent devotee of the Lord Sai i.e by

Shri RAVI RAJ NASERY who has composed about more than 500 sai

bhajans like Brahamnda nayaka Baba, Sai hamara hum sai Ke etc. He

sang out of his Heart and kept everyone Spelbounded and enthralled

the entire gathering. In Midst of his concert, he also kept on

narrating the various incidents of swami. The Three and half hour

concert ended at 9.00 p.m. Then a Powerpoint Presentation was shown

by the two ladies youths exhibiting the works of swami which he has

undertaken for the welfare of humanity . This was the wonderful

presentation consisting of audio-visual combinations. A video clip

was also shown by them which was crux of their presentation which

covered the every aspect of swami humanitarian works . They also

gave a brief description of swami Birth. Then a short talk was

delivered by the Convenor and this was followed by another

Personality of International fame . It was turn of Shri ASHOK JI

SINGHAL ( international President of VHP and is a ardent devotee of

swami from a long time.) Singhal gave moving and inspirational talk

narrating many miracles and Instances of swami. The Programme thus

ended with the Maha Mangal Aarthi offered by singhal ji. Another

highlight of the celebration was the Distribution of 82 Sewing

Machines to the 82 girls of Slum Area by singhal ji. They were also

given certificate of training which they took for 6 months in the

Sai Kripa Mandir. Thus 82nd Birthday celebrations ended with the

grace of swami with the distribution of prasadam to all the Devotees.
