Is there any Dharma for the non-living aspects of God beyond the

living aspects of God?

Yes, Dharma is all pervasive in the universe. It covers non-living

aspects of universe as well. When life had not evolved on this

earth, it was an earth consisting of material forces like water,

earth, fire, air and a sky. It is through the process of evolution

that the non-living forces created living forces. After the living,

including human beings were created, the interaction between the

living and non-living still continued and continues. Logically

therefore, if the relation between the living and the non-living

forces is not balanced chaos is created on earth. Think of a simple

example i.e. if all the coal or oil is over spent or wasted by human

beings, then how can we get energy and power. That is where is

necessity to use the supports of nature in a balanced way. In the

sky the Stars, including our Sun and Planets are holding, moving in

an order. Any little deviation can create havoc. Can you imagine

that !

Today the whole world is experiencing and trying to look at this

problem in a different way which is called ecological balance or

environmental protection. When this balance is not achieved between

the human beings and the non-living things, great problems takes

place e.g. if we contaminate air or water then diseases have to

come. Dharma is therefore, not only a spiritual and religious side

of things it also means a way of living together whether in a

family, society, country or world. Here the self-limitations or

scriptural limitations on the individuals for the greater cause of

the group is of paramount importance. The Dharma is what is the best

way of living together with all the forces of nature, living and non-

living under all circumstances.
