Ratna simhasanasino, yogajnana jagadguruh

 

Satam parama pujyasow, dattapithadhi nayakah

Bahunyogenoddharisya, tyartan sampalayisyati

 

Apratarkyanyadbhutani, subahunyaharisyati

Navanathankitatreya, ksetrani prakarisyati

 

Vidyam dharmanca santimca prapance sthapayisyati

Svanama japamatrena janan santarayisyati

 

Iti sadguru caritra, mihamutra phala pradam

Jnanayogapradam bhuyat, pathananmangala pradam

 

Wearing the jewel studded crown, seated on the throne bedecked with diamonds, as

the Jagadguru (universal teacher), as the one revered and respected by the

virtuous people, Sri Datta Peetha Head will protect countless devotees with his

Yoga powers. He will provide solace to the suffering. He will perform wonders

beyond the reach of imagination. He will establish the Navanadha Dattatreya

Kshetras (the 9 Dattatreya shrines). He will establish knowledge, virtue and

peace in the entire world. He can rescue people just by their chanting His Name.

May those, who read this story of the Sadguru, be blessed with good rewards both

in this world and the next and also may this endow them with Gnana (knowledge)

and well being.
