Dear Srikanth:

Thank you for the interesting article (sorry, but I disagree with you on

your other posting - I feel our world can use as many " Thank you's " it can

get!) The article for me is just another example of how ALL religions and

spirit-based organizations (SBO's - to coin a new term!) slowly, but

inevitably, fall away from the lofty and challenging ideals established by

their founders - unless and until they are re-energized by new leaders or

followers who embrace and embody that original teaching.

God Bless,

Brad

Here's an excerpt from an article related to a topic about Music

which may already be known to us as devotees

of His Holiness Pujya Sri Swamiji.

quote: " Listening to half an hour of music each day may significantly lower

your blood pressure, according to research reported at the American Society of

Hypertension meeting in New Orleans this week.

In a study, researchers found that people with mild hypertension who listened

to Classical,Celtic or Indian (Raga) music for just 30 minutes a day for one

month had significant reductions in their blood pressure..

Listening to music is soothing and has often been associated with controlling

patient reported pain or anxiety and acutely reducing blood pressure, study

investigator Dr Pietro A Modesti,of the University of Florence,Italy noted in a

written statement from the meeting.

But for thr first time, today's results clearly illustrate the impact daily

music listening, has on ambulatory blood pressure, while practising

slow,controlled breathing exercises. " unquote.
