Guest guest
Dear Sai Devotees, In this week's eChat, we will read about an incident in Ramakrishna Paramahamsa's life... --------------------1874, Sri Ramakrishna began to listen to readings from the Bible by a gentleman of Calcutta who was a devotee of his. Sri Ramakrishna became fascinated by the life and teachings of Jesus. One day his eyes became fixed on a painting of the Madonna and Child. Watching it, he became gradually overwhelmed with emotion. The figures in the picture took on life, and the rays of light emanating from them entered his soul. In dismay he cried out, "What are you doing to me?" For three days he did not set foot in the Kali temple. On the fourth day he saw coming toward him a person with large eyes and fair skin. As the two faced each other, a voice rang out: "Behold the Christ (etc.)" Jesus too merged in him, and Sri Ramakrishna realized his identity with Christ, and went into samadhi. Thus he came to believe that Christ was an Incarnation of God. But Christ was not the only Incarnation for him; there were others...Kali, Rama, Hanuman, Krishna and Mohammed. -- Sabka Malik Ek!
