Guest guest
Namaste Lisa Thanks for sharing your technique with me. The way you practice your mantra japa i.e. manasic japa is the best way to chant. However I need to reach this stage I think. I used to say the mantras out aloud which worked ... since 3 weeks I started practicing silent japa. This is the time when my mind started wavering. As Anilji said maybe its best to alternate for me... sometimes silently and sometimes moving my lips.. till I can do it silently altogether. I have been reading a lot about pranayama recently and am trying to incorporate this into my daily routine. This also I hope will help. Thanks once again. But I found out one way which suited me very well, and I can keep my mind with mantra only during the recitation. May be you would like to try this way also. > > First of all, I can not make recitation even in the morning because of non clearence of my mind all the time. Instead I found out to chant mantra in the evening that helped me, when finished all the wordly works. Then I used following technique given in one of the articles in rudracentre web site: > MANASIC JAPA : The Japa carried out only in the heart without any sound or lip movements. This way helped me very much as a meditation. Now I close my eyes and chant the mantra in my mind, and I do not effort to keep my concantration this way, because my mind is full of mantra. > > May be this can help > Lisa > > Aum Namah Shivaya> ----- Özgün Ileti -----> Kimden: " trishitamitra " <trishitamitra> Kime: > Gönderme tarihi: 19 Kasim 2007 Pazartesi 11:42> Konu: RBSC : Mala japa> > > > Respected Members> >> > I have been chanting 'Om Namay Shivay' with my 5-mukhi japa mala for a> while now.> > However I have recently noticed that I have been very distracted while> chanting ... in the> > middle my mind wavers and I start thinking about other things like what to> cook on that day> > or the things I have to do.> >> > I correct myself and bring my mind back my opening my eyes and looking at> the picture of> > Lord Shiva I have at the alter.
