Lets celebrate Ram Navmi Festival

Om Sai RamCelebration of Ram Navmi Festival was started in Shirdi with the permission of Sadguru Shri Saibaba. Ram Navmi is still a major festival celebrated in Shirdi and in many temples of Sri Sai Baba across the globe.

Much time is devoted to the devotion of the Sacred. Aartis, Naam Japa, reading of Sai SatCharitra, singing of Bhajans, meditation, feeding and helping the poor and needy, are some of the popular form of devotional activities the devotees engage their self with, according to the inner pull.

The link to How to Love God by Meher Baba has been given on this blog a few times in some posts. How to love God by Meher Baba guides us to the most practical way to spirituality and getting closer to God or our Sadguru Shri Sainath Maharaj. It was a page on which i stumbled upon while searching for various websites dedicated to Sai Baba of Shirdi, by experimenting with various search terms after my first experience in Shirdi.

For the search term Baba i landed on this page and immidiately it attracted me a lot. Then there was more reading of Meher Baba. Not many devotees might be aware of the meeting and giving the key to the spiritual treasure of Meher Baba (then Merwan) by Sai Baba.

A post on the same should follow soon. But for this Ram Navmi along with all the regular worships and the way of devotion we each are attracted, lets put a barometer in our room. Lets take out a printout of the How to Love God by Meher Baba and stick that in our room and read that often. We will find all the teachings and guidance of Sai Baba in most practical and simple way which will get us closer to our Sadguru.

HOW TO LOVE GOD Meher Baba To love God in the most practical way is to love our fellow beings. If we feel for others in the same way as we feel for our own dear ones, we love God.

If, instead of seeing faults in others, we look within ourselves, we are loving God. If, instead of robbing others to help ourselves, we rob ourselves to help others, we are loving God. If we suffer in the sufferings of others and feel happy in the happiness of others, we are loving God.

If, instead of worrying over our own misfortunes, we think ourselves more fortunate than many many others, we are loving God. If we endure our lot with patience and contentment, accepting it as His Will, we are loving God.

If we understand and feel that the greatest act of devotion and worship to God is not to hurt or harm any of His beings, we are loving God. To love God as He ought to be loved, we must live for God and die for God, knowing that the goal of life is to Love God, and find Him as our own self.
