Guest guest
On this day we thank the SUN, the life-giver, and who represents the visible form of GOD (pratyaksha). This day is also called " Chhath " the winter festival of the setting Sun. We remember the Gayatri-Mantra, that invokes the creative principle of the Sun in the form named SAVITR. A Hymn from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: " He who, dwelling in the Sun, yet is other than the Sun, whom the Sun does not know, whose BODY THE SUN IS, who controls the Sun from within -HE IS YOUR SELF, the inner controller, the IMMORTAL.
