BABA'S MESSAGE!

OM BHUR BHUVAH SVAH TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM BHARGO CEVASYA DHEEMAHI, DHIYO YO NAH PARCHODAYAAT

SHRADDHA SABURI

There are many ways leading High up, full of tigers, wolves to obstruct your way, but if you have Sadguru, as a guide, who will lead & pave the ground for you to cherish the goal of life.

In-depth analysis of the Path as shown by Sri Sai Baba leads to certain obvious pointers essentially required for spiritual evolution of human beings.

Baba, during His interaction with a very large number of devotees of different religions and paths had repeatedly brought out certain common emotional, psychological and physical parameters to be followed by His devotees. Although specific instructions were given directly or indirectly to most of the devotees to solve their immediate or mundane problems, yet the general parameters for ethical living and spiritual evolution were more profound & for long term.

After Baba left His mortal form, those who follow the parameters and advice for the rest of their lives, have benefited immensely. Others, who deviated, in the absence of interaction with their Sadguru, who is in a human form, did not realize any great heights.

These general parameters for a contented and evolved life have been brought out more prominently and extensively in all the 50 chapters & epilogue by Hemadpant of Shri Sai Satcharitra when it narrates real-life happenings at Shirdi, anecdotes and interpretations. Most of the other books written on Baba have also tried to bring out these parameters in different ways.

For example let us take the case of a man who spoke ill of another devotee to Baba. Baba told him that pigs will only eat dirt even when the best of food offered to it.

The problem with some of the devotees is that they read Shri Sai Satcharitra more intensely for its miraculous stories rather than for understanding the applied principles of an ethical living. What Baba wanted the followers to do is more to practice these principles than to read. As Baba's intentions reveal, the question is not as to how many times one has failed while trying but as to whether he is determined and remembers these principles while doing any act, good or bad. Each devotee needs to ask this question to himself and find the answer. Lighting Lamps with Water

Sai Baba was incarnated with full Divine powers. But he called himself " Servant of God," and the supernatural feats that occurred at his hands, he ascribed to God Himself. He never called himself a Guru and had no disciples too. He had only his devotees. Every night, Baba used to light earthen lamps in the Dwarkamai. For this, he asked the grocers to give him oil. In the beginning, people looked upon Baba as a mad fakir and so the grocers gave him oil just for the fun of it. But soon they got fed up with this daily practice and one day they all refused to give him oil. With the empty oil-tin dangling from his hand, Baba came back to Dwarkamai, with a merry song on his lips :-

If no oil, I am not worried,

Dwarkamai will supply the need.

He put a little water in the oil-tin and poured it in the lamps and kindled them one by one. Lo…!b

God said, let there be light

And there was light!

The 'water-lamps' burnt throughout the night. Those who had come to scoff remained to praise. This incident established the supernatural powers of Baba beyond a shred of doubt.

Once a very Pious and Religious Man was given the most wonderful Vision By The Divine to see all the past events of his Life. As he saw the events pass by, He observed very closely that in some events of his Life he saw two sets of Footprints which made him happy beyond belief as he saw that the other set of Footprints were The Lord's and he thanked the Lord Profusely for being with him at all times and standing with him, His Happiness was beyond belief,He thanked The Lord for everything that He had done for him in his Life, Then as the events of his Life passed by he suddenly Observed that during some moments in his Life there were only one set of footprints and those were the moments of great grief, sorrow and those Moments when he left alone and were moments of great troubles and unhappiness, He lamented saying that God had deserted him during His moments of Great sorrow and he had walked alone during his Moments of Despair and unhappiness, He felt that His faith in God all through His Life had been wasted.

Then the Lord smiled and said " Dear One, During your moments of great happiness and Joy, I walked with you, beside you, with you, And During the moments of sorrow and unhappines, Those Footprints were mine alone, It was during those moments that I carried you " .

Everyone of would have felt sometime in our Life the same way that the person would have felt, But Swami is and will always be with everyone of us at all times, Swami's Grace will always be with us always.

Love is the living language of all to spread happiness around!
