Namaste! It is not between weak planets or strong planets... that is NOT anukul

or pratikul

meaning. Anukul means " favorable " , either strong or weak, and Pratikul means

" unfavorable " either strong or weak. According to the PGA guidelines a gem for a

planet

which is favorable may be used. If the favorable planet is weak that is all the

more reason

to make it stronger. Gems do NOT " reverse " anything.

According to Dr B.V.Raman(The Father of Modern Vedic Astrology),in his book "A Manual Of Hindu Astrology" states that " By planetary friendship we mean that the rays of the one planet are intensified by those of the other,declared as his friend" Now by wearing a gemstone,it will only throw more rays.Your friendly planets are already with you,but whats lacking with unfriendly planets? Ans- Lack of Rays,so the common remedy is gemstone.( An unfriendly planet becomes friendly with the help of the respective gemstone) Astrologers recommending gemstones for friendly planets are never in trouble,because gemstones are not that much effective,statistically you can say it will help you about 20-30%.Best remedy for problems are Mantras & Poojas. Anyone can question now,all these years are those pundits and gr8 astrologers of india giving us wrong remedies? No they arent.....But to say in one word

that Wear gems for only pratikul planet(s) is wrong,because an expert astrologer may suggest you gemstone(s) for an anukul planet also,if needed,depending upon your birth chart or even palmistry.So have faith in a good astrologer for your remedies. Every thing in nature is for defeating the evil.There is no risk wearing a gemstone for anukul planet,because it Wont harm you..... The biggest truth about gemstones as remedies,is that,None of our Great Rishis recommended it to mankind,instead they trusted Poojas and Mantras. And moreover,for so many decades,many gr8 astrologers Practically proved that wearing gemstones for pratikul planets really helps,and what has been practically proved,does not need any further theory/law to explain. Just think of a simple logic,If you are going to have an accident,wont you pray to Lord Shiva,Lord Hanuman or Any

God/Godesses who is the source of Shakti? You WILL !! But you wont pray/take remedies for other planets which are favourable to you,to overcome your accident.Natural Gemstones are gifts of God.So use it to overcome bad phase/evils. If you have an enemy,make him friend,no one is your enemy in this world.Think this practically. Personally i met many astrologers in india,and concluded that " Your jyotishi is the best advisor,and gemstones can be suggested for Anukul as well as Pratikul Planets". Its better to consult a Palmist and also a vedic astrologer before taking any gemstone remedy.
