Namaste Raja,

 

Wonderful to hear of your experience within 1 hour of your 12 mukhi

bracelet arriving and your holding and beholding it!! Rudraksha,

being Lord Shiva's Tears shed to save mankind, indeed brings His

Divine Presence especially when you've just obtained your own very

first beads and not having prayed daily to Him before. Therefore its

not unusual that the mantra that came to your mind was Om Namah

Shivaya and subsequently reciting the Maharityunjaya Mantra with

bhakti thus feeling it has become more powerful.

 

As mentioned before many times in this forum, rudraksha has the

ability to guide us towards higher spiritual states and aspirations.

Such examples are that God is everywhere, that they are also always

near us, that we should pray to God and hold God dear to us. The

rest just follows and destiny also follows or makes progress.

Rudraksha also has a kind of 'communication' to the human

subconscious that is far more subtle than any other type of holy

beads.

 

Its great that you've now witnessed for yourself how rudraksha works

on an individual basis. The effects of the same beads may be

different or vary from person to person but I'm glad you're

experiencing what you have. There have been many testimonials from

devotees about rudraksha being protective and been of comfort to

them. Now its superb to hear this from you too Raja.

 

Its definitely not an illusion. As time goes, you will find that

further benefits will emerge. But remember to recite Om Namah

Shivaya at least 3 or 9 times before taking off or putting on your

bracelet.

 

The beads may look 'plastic' due to the perfumed oils when stringing

and then during the Puja process. In time, the oil will wear off.

Then its important to re-oil with your favorite essential oil mixed

with a carrier oil such as cold-pressed almond, jojoba, etc that can

be found in health food stores. Otherwise, use Mysore Sandalwood oil

from Rudra Centre and mix it with carrier oils too.

 

Every 3 months or so, maybe less whenever they look dry, they can be

washed with gentle soapy water and left to dry thoroughly for some

days before oiling and offering puja.
