Guest guest
Choosing and Wearing Gemstones by Rudra Centre Once a proper stone is obtained it may be set in either a ring or pendant for wearing on the body. The gem must be set in such a way that the stone comes into contact with the skin. Gems should be set by themselves, as certain gems are incompatible and may cause undesired effects if set together in the same piece of jewelry. There are exceptions in the case of specific talismans where certain gems are set together for a positive combined effect. It's also important to wear gemstone rings on the proper fingers. The forefinger (next to thumb) is the Jupiter finger and yellow sapphire is best worn here. The middle finger is the Saturn finger, so blue sapphire should be worn here. The " ring finger " (next to smallest finger) is for the Sun, Moon, and Mars so ruby, pearl, and red coral rings are best worn here. The smallest finger is the Mercury finger so this is the optimum place for rings of emerald or green jade. In palmistry the thumb is connected to the " mound of Venus " . However, as we don't generally wear rings on the thumb, diamonds or white sapphire rings should go on a friendly planet's finger, either middle finger (Saturn), or the small finger (Mercury). Hessonite ( gomed) and cat's-eye are also worn on either the small or middle fingers. Pendants are best worn at either the throat chakra or the heart chakra for maximum effect. The size of gems is also an important factor. Most of the precious primary gems are " facet-cut " and transparent. These include ruby, emerald, diamond, sapphires and hessonite. They should be over one carat and are better two carats or more in weight. Rubies and diamonds are so potent that at least one carat can be sufficient. (There are five carats to a gram of weight). Pearls are chosen of a size and weight depending on body weight. Generally I have found that 5 carats is very potent. Red coral generally needs to be minimum 6 to 8 carats, and cat's-eye minimum 3 carats. Although some gems can seem an expensive proposition, the exercise is usually a one-time purchase and the gem can be worn for an entire lifetime. What other commodity can continue to be useful, effective and increase pleasure and well being throughout the entire span of life? /articledt.php?art_id=88 & cat_id=
