Guest guest
Namaste Michael, regular rudraksha malas are for counting mantras (Mantra Japa), meditation or for wearing. Kantha Malas are for wearing when one is performing spiritual rituals, meditating and also for counting mantras if one wishes. Pls scroll below for further info : Kanthas & Their Importance -------------------------- Prajapati (Brahma) said in Nirnayasindhu: A rosary of 32 beads renders moksa (spiritual enlightenment). While wearing a rosary of thirty two beads if a man does rituals, he gets many folds more benefits. Vopadeva states in Padartha-Darsa that one who wears thirty two Rudrakshas in neck, forty on forehead, six in each ears, twelve in each wrists, sixteen in each arms, four in each eyes, one hundred eight over the chest, himself becomes Neelakantha (Lord Shiva). Kanthas are always 32+1 beads. They are worn for spiritual purposes. /articledt.php?art_id=155 & cat_id=42 Aum , " Michael " <spiritmed wrote: > > Narahimsaye, > > what is the diff between a kantha and a regular rudraksha mala?? > > thank you, Michael >
