Guest guest Posted October 18, 2009 Report Share Posted October 18, 2009 DIWALI FEST AT GANAPATI ASHRAM Mysore, Oct. 17 (MTY & DM)- Special pujas were performed at Sri Ganapati Sachidananda Ashram on Nanjangud Road here today as part of Diwali celebrations. Sri Ganapati Sachidananda Swamiji performed the puja rituals at 9.30 am in the presence of a large number of devotees. Sree Chakrarchane, Mahaganapati Homa, Mahalakshmi Homa, Mahalakshmi puja and other pujas and homas were performed on the occasion. Ashram's junior pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Thirtha Swamiji, Chief Minister's Parliamentary Secretary S.A. Ramdas, his brother S.A. Srikanthadas and devotees numbering more than 200 took part in the programme. Delegates from the 70 Gnana Bodha Sabhas, several foreign devotees including from West Indies were present. Also, a large number of devotees were seen visiting the Datta Venkateshwaraswamy Temple inside the Ashram premises to perform puja on the occasion of Diwali.
