yes contradictory actions and thoughts can happen with rudraksha beads. they will make you go through weird (opposing in nature) actions or karmas and then you will see positive psychological changes (less sinful behavior). an example of the contradictory nature is one day you may feel divine in your nature and then suddenly you may do something that feels inside contradictory to that nature but lord shiva doesn't judge your actions (conscience becomes highly aware) you are with him. the beads do protect you and guide you to your path as well as salvation.

you however may not become happier wearing rudraksha but safer perhaps. i at times still feel down but i do feel closer to lord shiva after wearing the bead than ever before in my entire life. you will also go through transformations and happiness can be achieved. i don't want to sound evangelical or crazy or whatever but because of the beads your intuition grows and as a result you hear your own internal voice clearer and with more confidence (some would call it your conscience). so lets see if this voice that i have had before but now with greater clarity is really lord shiva or at least a part of him. i mean the voice says so and it says so with authority and well if it is not then def. you can send me to the mental ward. LOL!!!! i have asked him personally inside whether i will do well now and he says yes your time has come. so hey call me crazy!!! its weird even to me. it makes me uncomfortable to be honest. because it sounds like george w. bush jr to be honest i.e. that god has ordained me to do this and that for the salvation of the world.

just to clarify this is from personal experience of wearing my first rudraksha (12 mukhi bracelet) and seeing interesting results within these first two weeks of wearing. so this experience is highly valid to me and i have conferred with others on this list as well.
