Guest guest
Namaste Anil, a) You're right there are no problems in keeping Rudraksha and Shaligrams on the altar for worship. Rudrakshas are worshipped in the usual way. Shaligrams are worshipped with Tulasi, one fresh twig on right side and one on left side of each Shaligram. In the next message, I'll be posting an article from Rudra Centre about Shaligrams. There are some traditional tips in this article. In the past, maybe 2 or 3 years ago, we'd discussed Shaligrams at length in this Group. When you get time, please do a search to see if those discussion threads would come up. (They should still be around.) b) In strict Vaishnava belief, its true that the abode that consumes non-veg should not keep Shaligrams. But Liberal Hindus, ascetics and tantrikas do not observe the non-veg rule.
