Wearing Rudraksha when taking a dip at the sea

Namaste Seah,

 

It is not recommended to wear rudraksha mala when taking a dip in the

river or sea. This is because salt water will damage the beads after

flowing into them and as the beads dry out, the salt residue will

remain on the beads' surface and also inside. The other reason why its

not advisable is in case of loss of the mala while swimming.
