There are the seven major charkas and rudrakshas are associated with

each one of them. I think I heard that Rudra center has developed

rudraksha combinations to heal the different chakras. Each Chakra is

associated with various organs and each organ is associated with

different deities. These deities affect our lives when we have to

submit our " bhukti " to them.

We know already that different rudraksha facets are associated with

different dieties. Knowing which diety/ planet is commanding your

salutations can be understood through your own body. It is telling

you everyday. Your salutations can be enhanced a thousand times with

the corresponding rudrakshas....and you would see the wonderful

physical healing of the physicality that is affecting your life.

But, what are Chakras?

Chakra is a sanskrit word, and it means " wheel, " or " vortex, "

because that's what it looks like when we look at it. Each chakra is

like a solid ball of energy interpenetrating the physical body, in

the same way that a magnetic field can interpenetrate the physical

body.

The chakras interact with the physical body through two

major " transport' systems, the endocrine system and the nervous

system. Each of the seven chakras is associated with one of the

seven endocrine glands, and also with a particular group of nerves

called a plexus.

A chakra can become damaged, cracked or tilted out of alignment with

the energy channel (you), and that blockage is manifestated in the

affectation of some physical organ in the body. Such damage can be

caused by psychological stress and/or trauma, which may be brought

on by events or feelings... both physical and psychological problems

can result in blockage of energy flow.

There are seven Major Chakras and several minor chakras.

The Major Chakras are:

Base centre (muladhara) " governs the physical down to the

subconscient [subconscious] " ;

Abdominal centre (swadhishthana) " governs the lower vital "

( " concerned only with the small greeds, small desires, small

passions, etc, which make up the daily stuff of life for the

ordinary sensational man " );

Navel centre (manipura) " governs the larger vital " ;

Heart centre (anahata) " governs the emotional being " ;

Throat centre (vishuddha) " governs the expressive and externalising

mind " ;

Brow centre (ajna) " governs the dynamic mind, will, vision, mental

formation " ;

Thousand-petalled lotus (sahasrara) " commands the higher thinking

mind, houses the still higher illumined mind and at its the highest

opens to the intuition through which...the overmind can

have...communication or an immediate contact. "

Organs and associated Chakras:

CHAKRA GLAND FUNCTION

Crown Pineal Upper Brain, Right Eye,

Forehead Pituitary Lower Brain, Left Eye, Ears, Nose, Nervous System

Throat Thyroid Bronchial & Vocal Apparatus, Lungs, Alimentary Canal

Heart Thymus Heart, Blood, Vagus Nerve, Circulatory System

Solar Pancreas Stomach, Liver, Gall Bladder, Nervous System

Sacral Gonads Reproductive System

Base Adrenals Spinal Column, Kidneys

For overall good health and well-being a balance of all chakras is

required: the balance of energies (or the smooth running of the

cogs/wheels). This can be done by wearing different facet Rudraksha

and worshipping the diety ruling the affected organs.

Let's move on to the organs and the physical level manifestation of

the chakras and their ruling deities:

Every bodily action requires energy. Every energy has a specific

name, for instance the energy which induces sneezing is called deity

Chakpadi. To understand the association between organs and deities

first chant the word `arka' for one minute and note in which sense

organs namely, the ears, skin, eyes, tongue and nose some sensation

is felt. Only then read the following paragraph.

Thirty-one seekers attended a workshop on Spirituality. None of them

knew the meaning of the word arka. After chanting the word `arka'

they experienced sensations in various sense organs as follows : 19

seekers - in the eyes, 4 - in the ears, 4 - in the tongue, 3 - in

the nose and 1 - on the skin. From this, one can deduce that there

exists some relationship between the word `arka' and the eyes. Arka

is one of the Names of the Sun deity (Surya). The Sun deity and the

eyes both being associated with the absolute fire (tej) element,

after chanting arka, a majority of seekers felt the sensation in the

eyes.

The following illustrates the relationship of various organs with

deities and also how the Name of a particular deity should be

chanted to improve the function of a particular organ. The point to

be noted here is that specific chanting will be beneficial only if

the function of an organ is impaired due to a spiritual factor, that

is a reduction of vital energy (pranshakti) and not if the cause is

physical or psychological.

And, we know already that different rudraksha facets are associated

with different dieties. Knowing which diety/ planet is commanding

telling you everyday. These salutations can be enhanced a thousand

times with the corresponding rudrakshas.

corresponding relation of rudraksha with one's body, chakras and

organs. I'm sure Rudra center's Neeta ji would guide us further in

our pursuit of well being with the `Chakric' use of Rudraksha.

Be Well!

Om Namah Shivaya….
