Guest guest
Namaste Sreevidya, Thanks for kind words. Its quite difficult for the layman to tell if there is lead inside a rudraksha. If a bead is unusually heavy, in the weight of a medium or large sized Parad Siddh Gutika (Mercury Bead), then it would be best to send it for authentification. There is a free authentification service provided by Rudra Centre but you will need to pay return postage or shipping cost. Enquiry can be made to: /sendEnquiry.php Its all right not to have matched the subject to the message - don't worry. Its ok to spray a little Gangajal on the beads before placing them on the altar at night, provided its a fine mist, not strong spraying. This will not spoil rudraksha. However its advisable to wash your beads once you see dirt, grit or dust on them. Then make sure they are completely dry before oiling them. Once in a while, depending on the climate where you are living, oiling will help maintain them well. Om Bholenath
