Dear Vishal,

Mustard Oil Abhishek and pran-pratishtha can be done by temple

priest. Afterwards, Shani conch can be taken home for placing on

altar and worshipping every Saturday with reciting Shani's mantra:

Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namah Om.

Make offerings like black sesame seeds, black mustard seeds, milk,

honey, curd and fruits.

Donate black cloths and pots and pans made from iron to poor families.

Om Bholenath

to be used. I bought a Shani Shankh few days back. The seller told me

that once you should do mustard oil abhishek of Shani Bhagwan with

this conch at a temple and then leave it at the temple. Another

person told me to get it its pran-pratishtha and keep it at household

puja ghar. So I am confused. What is the right procedure to use it

for appeasement of Lord Shani?
