Gem stones compared to rudrakshas

Namaste Narasimhaye,

How does the effect of gem stones differ from rudrakshas? My

understanding is that all rudrakshas can be worn and there are no negative

effects. However, all gem stones cannot be worn as there will be negative

effects from the ones that do not suit a person.

As an example, if a planet is well situated but weak in a horoscope, we

will wear a gem to strengthen it. If it is a benefic but badly situated (i.e., benefic

planet like Jupiter situated in the house of death etc), we may not strengthen

but will try to pacify it.

So, does wearing rudrakshas strengthen the planets that are associated

with the rudraksha? As an example, does wearing 7 mukhi strengthen Saturn?
