Guest guest
One can find the same answer in all great religions if one employs common sense. God is the law. God is the entire universe (or the multiuniverse) based on these laws. In that sense, one should not associate emotions or human frailties (such as greed, hate, anger, lust or ego/arrogance) to God. God is not love since it requires dualities. All is One and One is All. Therefore God is everything that is interrelated and all is God. God doesn't create calamities (natural or human-created). Everything that happens in nature obeys these laws. Everything that happens in human affairs obeys these laws and laws of Karma. It may be hard to analyze the past or the future of events but these laws cannot be ignored. Man can only worship God through wonderment of God's laws. Only through wonder can one axpect to be in the grace of God. Only when one is wondering, can a human mind become truly spiritual. Only when one becomes truly spritual, can one become One with God. Only when we don't wonder, we suffer from estrangement from God. It may be difficult to be always spiritual when conducting daily chore of mundane life but it is not difficult to go beyond the mumbo-jumbo of holy men and see God with utmost clarity. One of God's laws, evolution will eventually allow all humans to become spitritually inclined and become one with God. Roshan L. Guest guest
Dear Chandran, God is within and without you, and for everyone else too. Its said that there are 330 million gods in the Hindu pantheon. Images and murtes of gods help the layman to concentrate on 'God Realization' when reciting mantra of the deity. Tantrikas also have Ishta Devatas, hence they also perform worship of one or more gods at any given time.
