Its great you've been using gem chips for garlanding your murtis as guided by your instinct or intuition. Intinct and intuition are associated with what is also called Upaguru, i.e. the "inner guru" that guides us to every signpost as we evolve spiritually. With bhakti and continuous worship, meditation and mantra, the person gains much growth. May yours guide you to the 'summit' sooner than expected.
