Guest guest
Dear Vishal, Its true what you said about uncoloured copper yantras being more difficult to clean -- true that stains are stubborn where the spots of chandan, vermillion and haldi dots are put. Most uncolored yantras develop similar stains if salt and lemon juice are used for cleaning them (the parts where chandan, etc had been applied). Don't worry about the stains, just know that the yantra is clean and thats enough. 1. Frequency of cleansing yantras is 2 to 3 months. Clean yantras by wiping with gentle soapy water with a cloth. Rinse with milk then rosewater or Ganga Jal. Wipe dry and leave on table to dry in room temperature. 2. Superstitious people would say that stained yantras or those which have lost their lustre are malefic. This is not true because yantras are mystical diagrams of God. Specific yantras represent personify specific Gods. If a picture, an image of or murti of God seems old or stained, nobody would say its 'malefic', in fact its value goes up and everybody wants to get hold of it. Dispose a yantra or any holy item at a temple or in water only if you strongly wish to do so or if your Upaguru is telling you to do so.
