Namaste Prabhjot,

 

I have bought three rudraksha's for my two year old son. Infact he first

started wearing rudraksha since he was a year old and I took recommendation from

Neetaji for the same.

As advised by Narasimhayeji time to time to my queries, I can safely say the

following:

 

1) Yes either parent can say the Mantra on behalf of the child before putting

on and while removing the mala.

 

2) It is okay if children play with the Rudraksha beads but if possible try to

avoid the rudraksha touching the ground. We do this by making him wear clothes

that fit in ... I mean uppper garment slides in to the lower one..Like for

example a Tshirt that slides in to his shorts or small pants. This makes it

least possible to touch the beads directly and touch the ground while they play

or bend to pick up something.

 

I have to say this though..there are times when they fall over and might get

hurt with the bead between them and the floor or any other hard surface.

 

We let him wear for as much time possible after his daily bath but there are

days when he can wear for a little time only and the rest of the time it stays

close to the Altar.

 

You already have a very religious daughter who understand she is talking to

God, my son becomes religious as per his convenience & various moods but when he

gets in to the mood we have to stop him after sometime or else he wouldn't stop

:-))

Dear Members,

 

As per RC advise, I want to buy Rudraksh for my 2 & 1/2 year old daughter,

 

As usual challenges with small child, they are playfull & naughty, they may

not be able to speak complete mantra & may be playfull with beads some times.

 

1) Can some member share similar experiences with small child.

2) Can both parents speak mantra on child's behalf

3) Is it unauspicious child playing with beads, or child keeps mala on ground.

 

Although my daughter consider beads to be God & daily morning bows head to

Japa mala, take them in hand, speaks that this is God & touches them to her

head.
