Joining two malas togeather

Namaste all,

 

A few days ago a suggestion by a forum member was made which was backed by

research at Rudra Center: that is if you wear more than one mala you should join

them together at two or more points with a thread or a wire. This would increase

the potential of the mala.

 

I have started to do this but my question is does it matter which way the beads

head tail configuration is in both the malas?

 

Secondly, is it better to maintain an order as to which way you wear a mala.

Suppose you have a mala with following mukhi configuration: 7-8-9-11 now if you

take it off and put it back after a while such that the order of beads is

reversed 11-9-8-7 does it makes a difference? Should it be avoided?
