This was the fourth consecutive year the event was held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and School. In addition to discussing immediate health concerns, the focus of the screening was to indentify unseen risk factors which might create immediate or future heath issues. Free screening services included primary care, women's health (mammograms and PAP smears), pediatrics, dental and vision; anemia, blood sugar and cholesterol testing; dietary and social services. Referrals were provided for follow up care by St. John's Regional Medical Center and Clinicas del Camino Real. Additionally, each family was given two bags of groceries with 30 pounds of food to help during these difficult economic times. The event was organized by the Sathya Sai Baba Organization of America in coordination with St. John's Regional Medical Center, St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and School.
