Living in the Presence of God (Vol I/Pt I - 38)

CHAPTER 38 Awaken,

each day, withholding beauty in the eyes. Yes! Wake up to the beauty of

life, beauty of the self and the beauty of God. Make sure that the

beginning of each day begins with a pure thought; be determined to

carry this pureness throughout the day, and let this pureness make you

the moon that is calm, cool and white in the darkness of the night. For

pure thoughts to prevail, you must remain unaffected by negative

emotions of yourself and all those around. Thoughts must be controlled,

they must be channeled, and they must be focused. An insane person

speaks without thinking. He may shout, scream, abuse, cry and laugh,

without even being aware that he may hurt one's feelings. He is not

aware of his disease, and to him, the whole world appears to be full of

crazy's and lunatics. But is that really true? You know the fact that

he is insane, and you do not pay any attention to his taunts, but on

the contrary, you try to help him with your love and compassion. In the

same way, you, too, must remain untouched by all the falsehood and

hypocrisy that surrounds you. Blind yourselves to the ignorance of

others, and begin to see only with the eyes of the conscience. Focus

your lives in finding yourselves, rather than losing the real you with

others. Become the psychiatrist that is able to listen to others,

understand them, heal and cure them. Learn never to be offended by any

criticism or discouraging remark. You are the victim of your own mind

and of all the other minds that also live with you. Do not let the

thoughts of another mind intimidate your mind, and let not the virus of

other's fears and insecurities infect you, too. The

poisons of agitation and restlessness must be extracted from your

minds. You must stop behaving like a dog that chases its own tail. This

is your chase to acquire more worldly possessions - can this chase ever

be complete? Can this chase ever fulfill you? Attachments, possessions,

greed, envy and jealousy, will, one day, leave you empty and will make

your existence meaningless. Human birth must not be wasted by merely

surviving as the body. It is time for your spirits to emerge, it is

time for your spirits to live again, and it is time for the spirit, My

dears, to become the voice of your mind, the love in your hearts, and
