■ YOU’LL be Jump-ing for joy when you find out who’s coming to town next week. Prepare to laugh till your tummy aches because Jump, a comedy martial arts group from South Korea, will be performing at Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur on Aug 8.

Jump is not your typical martial arts show in which you see coordinated somersaults and sober concentration. It is an innovative, energetic performance that incorporates martial arts, comedy, theatre and dance into one highly enjoyable package.

There is no dialogue, but viewers all over the world and of all age groups have no problem understanding what the acrobats, actors, comics and mimes put up, especially with their kicks, punches, rolls, aerial tumbles, expressive faces and body language.

The performance centres on a simple story about a typical Korean family with all their quirks and lovable traits.

The whole family practises martial arts religiously but one day, their routine is interrupted when two thieves break into their house.

Jump’s performance is part of the programme for the R.E.A.L ONE MALAYSIA Fun Weekend on Aug 8 and 9. This carnival is organised by R.E.A.L Foundation, a non-profit organisation, to raise funds for the education of underprivileged and orphaned children.

Jump will be performing on Aug 8 (2pm and 5pm) at the Concert Arena of Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil. Tickets are priced at RM60, RM80 and RM200. For details, call 03-7711 5000.
