'It was in 1992. I came to Prasanthi Nilayam for the first time and had Darshan of Bhagavan. I came then with my parents when I was a boy of about 11 years. I do not remember much about that visit. In 1997, I had some cardiac trouble. On having a check-up and undergoing tests, my problem was diagnosed. Two of my heart valves were damaged. The valves had to be replaced surgically. The surgery was very expensive and, perhaps, risky. I was referred to the PGI at Chandigarh for treatment. On the way, I met Dr. Gaur, a leading cardiac surgeon from Khanna. He is a Sai devotee. He took me to his hospital and caonducted necessary tests. He used to meditate on Swami before undertaking any surgery. On that day also he meditated on Swami for me. After that he told me, 'go to Puttaparthi'. He also added, 'don't go to the PGI.' So I came to Prasanthi Nilayam on May 17, 1998. I sat in the queue for Darshan. Luckily, I got token No. 1. So I could sit in the front line. At around 2:30 p.m., Swami came along the Darshan line. He paused before me when I told Him about my problem. He placed His hand on my head, and also softly passed His hand on my back saying in Hindi, 'you will be all right'. Next day, I went to the Super Specialties Hospital at Puttaparthi and underwent tests. 'You are quite normal', the Doctor said, 'why have you come?' I showed my medical reports. He was puzzled. Then I told him that I had Darshan and blessings of Swami before coming to the Hospital. 'Say so', the Doctor told me, 'you are lucky. Swami cured you. You can go back to your place happily'. Before I had Darshan of Swami, I was very lean and weak that I could not lift even a jug of water on the dining table. That feeling of weakness left me completely. I have felt better since then. I have been coming every year to Prasanthi Nilayam for seva. This is my sevnth year of seva. Three times, I was on canteen duty. I was on canteen duty this time (August 01 to 15, 2004) also. I am able to lift even big basins with rice and curries without any difficulty. Swami has blessed me with good health without medicines or surgery.' -- Mr. Sumit Batra . (As narrated to Mr. B. Parvatala Rao at Prasanthi Nilayam on 16.08.2004)SaiSewak, Bear all and do nothing;Hear all and say nothing;Give all and take nothing;Serve all and be nothing.
