Pl inform me in person or to Sister Renuka via email: rajanpbv or renukariyadh We wish to cover more news and info on Mahila activities and Bal Vikas classes thus re-formatting the weekly report in 2008. Sister Renuka Patra will focus in next few weeks, on adding specific comments each week for these areas till it is covered in sufficient detail and hopefully in a new format. She will contact by phone the Mahilas and BalVikas children and get their inputs. Pl give her cooperation and your valuable inputs. She collected this week, the following report from Sis Rama who is a Guru in Naseem based BalVikas. “Usually the classes are conducted weekly once in Riyadh for an hour. We start the class with silent sitting for 5 minutes and 3 Oms and 3 times Gayatri mantra chanting. Then we briefly review the previous classes’ moral messages and the contents for the current week. Alternative weeks we teach bhajans and slokas till the students get the proper tune by heart. Then we narrate the story based on human values, epics and great personalities. We question the students about the characters and the moral what they learn from it. Then comes the recreation part like puzzles, riddles, drawing, coloring and games. It will be also based on concentration, values and moral. The students maintain a file to keep a record of bhajans, slokas, and activities done in class. The story narration on festivals will be also done according to the dates e.g. like navarathri, explain about the goddesses. We complete the session by chanting Asathoma 3 times and lokha samastha 3 times”. Sis Rama incidentally Teaches English in an Arabic School and was judged the “Best Teacher” last year. Naseem BalVikas center held last week a competition for Children. 4 children participated in Essay writing, 6 in Story telling and 3 in coloring. Next week similar competitions will be held in Sulaimaniya BalVikas at run by Sis Mythili Srinivasan. House Bhajans are being encouraged under a new initiative by the center. It is not necessary to invite all members but limit to such numbers as can be comfortably accommodated and controlling the noise level. Bro. C.V. Subash is trying to compile an article on Ethics on contemporary business, esp. from a spiritual angle and Sai Teachings. He would welcome inputs from members. The brief is: “From Industrial relations to Employee benefits to Employee engagement, from Business ethics to corporate social responsibility; corporate values have undergone a sea change over the decades. " Ethics " in today's business domain is limited to Legal and Responsible business; while Morality involves conducting business keeping in view the principles of Corporate Citizenship, Stake-holder wealth maximization, etc.”. Riyadh SAI center is organizing a picnic for members on 4th April. Those interested may contact Bro. Sampath or Sis Jayshree. We end our 9th posting for 2008 here with these Divine Words---- Every individual should be the master of their own behavior; he/she should not be led away by the impulse of the moment; one must be conscious always of what is good for him/her. You should so carry your daily tasks that you do not make others suffer or suffer yourself. That is the sign of intelligent living. You should not give way to fits of anger or grief, elation or despair...
